Rein vom Schnittmuster is das nur ein langes Stoffrechteck. Das einzige was daran Tricky ist, is das wie mans um einem rum faltet ^^.

Jain... die Falten sind zum großen Teil auch mit eingenäht.. und DAS ist eine scheiß Arbeit... Hat nen Bekannter für sich gemacht.

Das is die Version für Wickelfaule

Wenn mans wirklich Historisch korrekt haben will, der nimmt nur das Stoffstück und wickelt sich drin ein ^^

Nein, man wickelt sich nicht "einfach drin ein". Man legt es (von hand, nicht vorgenäht) in Falten (dabei helfen die Karos wunderbar), schiebt einen Gürtel drunterdurch und gürtet sich im Liegen. DANN ist es historisch korrekt. Im Prinzip ist das echt einfach und geht mit etwas Übung schnell von der Hand. Ich kann meinen Plaid von Hand in ca. 5-10 Minuten anlegen.

Einen vernünftiger Belted Plaid kostet selbst gemacht rund 120-200 Euro. Ein unvernünftiger geht auch mit 50.

ändert nix dran, das es nur eine Stoffbahn ist, die nicht irgendwie genäht ist (mal evtl Saum aussenvor) und die um den Träger gewickelt ist.

Wie das jetzt genau passiert (liegend, auf den genauen Faltenwurf achtend) und wie das fixiert wird (Gürtel, Fiebel) hab ich der (zugegeben, extremen) vereinfachung mal aussenvor gelassen ^^

aber um der vollständigkeit halber:

//the full length of material is first laid out flat on the ground.

//pleats of approx. 10 - 12 "are folded into the material,leaving approx. 30" unpleated at either end. the unpleated ends are folded over to cover the pleats, and a strong belt is passed underneath the pleated section. the ends are then folded back as before.
